With its memorable music and its tales of capture, enchantment, and escape, Mozart's Magic Flute captivates young children. This workshop for five- to seven-year-olds offers an exploration of the opera and of Mozart's time.

Drama, dance, art, and storytelling activities allow children to develop close familiarity with the opera's story and music. Special guests offer exciting, interactive presentations each day: historical woodwind player Liam Graham, Seattle Early Dance member Erin Burke (in costume!), and master puppetteer Dmitri Carter.
The workshop is scheduled so that children who participate will be able to attend the Carter Family Marionettes' puppet performance of the opera in May.
This workshop is sponsored in part by the Early Music Guild of Seattle.
