The Courtier
Step into the shoes of a courtier in Elizabethan England. Based upon Baltasare Castiglione.s .The Book of the Courtier,. it offers a view to the arts of the era (singing and playing instruments, dance, skill at arms, rhetoric, erudition). For older audiences it includes a critique of social forces and culture at play in the era as Europe emerges from Medieval thinking into the 'Age of Reason.'

Experience Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music played on historical instruments. Performers tell about instruments. place in history. Solo or ensemble groups available. Instruments include: lute, historical violin, cittern, harpsichord, viola da gamba, woodwinds and reeds, and many more.

What Makes a Lord (or Lady)?
Clothing through the ages. Ravenrook is blessed with a corps of seamstresses whose talent is matched only by their scholarship. They offer a surprisingly lively discussion of the textiles and trims, styles and fashions, industries and resources which went into defining the aristocracy and thereby the rest of age.

Master Payne has been delighting and astonishing audiences around the world for more than 25 years. Not only is he a master craftsman at his art, he has adopted his special skills to a variety of literary and historical settings including Renaissance/Medieval, Edgar Allen Poe, Harry Potter, the Wild West, and weird science.
